Leash Solutions for owners, trainers, dog walkers and more!
In one short day, your leash walking frustrations can turn into a serene walk in the park. Loose leash walking is the bane of many owner’s experiences with their dog. The same goes for professionals who work with these dogs. It’s frustrating, and even dangerous. It’s such a serious problem, many owners give up and relinquish their dogs to shelters.
The reason owners struggle is because loose leash walking is not a simple behavior. There is a dynamic of multiple behaviors going on and those need to be understood before the dog will willingly walk on a loose leash.
If you’re a trainer or owner who struggles with dogs pulling on leash, you know some dogs make it an art form. To that end, many “tools” have been marketed to “fix” the problem – prong collars, choke collars, head halters, and more. But hiding the problem behind a tool that doesn’t solve the problem. Let’s end the struggle together!

Just finished watching. Very informative and easy to follow. Was pleasantly surprised it was a 75 minute video for a very affordable price tag. Thanks!

I just got my copy of Teach the Leash! I very much enjoyed participating in this clinic with my Aussie, Phoebe! Great exercises and well put together. The video turned out great! Bonnie O.
At the top of my list of excellent teachers of dog training is Pam Dennison. She has the gift of explaining complex issues in simple ways as well as the vast experience to help humans understand what makes their dogs tick. Her DVD, Teach the Leash: Loose Leash Walking, offers expert guidance in one of the most important skills people can develop with their dogs–how to walk nicely on a leash without ever using any harsh equipment. In the context of a dog training clinic, Pam explains the steps to help dogs learn, demonstrates them, and then shows the students in her class practicing them with a variety of dogs. The dogs make notable progress! Of particular value is her emphasis on the nature of human-dog relationships based not on control, but on clear communication and collaboration. The DVD shows how to achieve some of the most important behaviors dogs need to live comfortably with their people, and it gives people the positive training methods to use with their dogs and get results! This DVD is priceless in the wonderful details and tips it includes. All people who live with dogs will find this a “high value treat!”

Thank you for your patience with Jack and Niles. They are a mismatch … Niles is high drive, high energy and a baby while Jack has physical limitations besides his age (arthritis, hearing issues and new knees) and can’t physically keep up with him. They both learned something and even Jack admitted that it’s different when the same words come from someone else …. he also admitted that he saw the lightbulb go off in Niles’ eyes, which is huge. Jack came back from his evening walk saying “I really think he walked better for me tonight”. For them, the clinic was a success!

My husband and I attended Pam Dennison’s “Teach the Leash Clinic” on June 15, 2019 with two young dogs. Pam was at her entertaining and informative best! For three intense hours, Pam brought seven unpolished dog-handler pairs to fairly decent loose leash walking. Quite an accomplishment! And for those inclined to perfection, Pam sells a “Teach the Leash” DVD that can be reviewed multiple times at one’s own pace.

Incorporating easy to follow steps to set you and your pup up for success! It was also great to be able to observe others working with their pups and seeing such an awesome transformation, thank you Pam!

I took the “Teach the Leash” clinic with Pam Dennison at Positive Dogs in Washington, NJ and would highly recommend this dog trainer. Anyone who is having trouble walking their dog on leash will be amazed how one class can change your walks. After just 3 hours in Pam’s class my dog was walking correctly on a leash! Before this class my dog was truly walking me; now I am enjoying walks with my dog and no pulling!
She is very knowledgeable and helpful and I am so excited to take more training classes with Pam!
